Duration:

1 day

Course Objective:

This course provides an overview of unified Modeling and Simulation (MODSIM) on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The main objective of the course is to introduce fundamental FEA tools and data management concepts to help engineers begin to understand analysis methods and how simulation can be seamlessly integrated into the design cycle and product development process.

MODSIM brings a revolution to the productivity of engineers and product teams. By using the same data and introducing simulation at the earliest phase of product development, engineers can more confidently understand how their designs will perform, helping them deliver the right product.

The course content is tailored to your requirements; a sample of previous course content is shown below.

Sample of a previous course topics:

  • 3DEXPERIENCE platform overview
  • Structural model creation
  • Meshing
  • Connections & rigid bodies
  • Structural scenario creation
  • Steps & static simulations
  • Loads & restraints
  • Interactions
  • Running simulations
  • Simulation results
  • Thermal

The course is divided into lectures, demonstrations and workshops. The course workshops are designed to reinforce concepts presented during the lectures and demonstrations.

Who Should Attend?

Existing CATIA users who are looking to develop a basic understanding of Finite Element Modeling (FEM) to bring simulation into their design engineering role. Previous usage of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and some existing knowledge of finite elements would be beneficial but not critical.
